CBR TV @ CCI: Dark Horse’s Mike Richardson on Digital Comics, “Orchid” and More “Umbrella Academy”

Dark Horse President, Publisher and CEO Mike Richardson took some time to come aboard the CBR Yacht at Comic-Con International: San Diego to discuss the company’s current and upcoming plans. Richardson delved deep into Dark Horse’s digital comics strategy and how he sees that affecting both the digital landscape and brick and mortar stores, plus how the cloud may figure into the future of comic book publishing.

Richardson then discussed some of Dark Horse’s high-profile announcements from CCI including Tom Morello’s “Orchid,” PC Cast’s “House of Night” and “Hellboy” director Guillermo del Toro’s “Strain.” Richardson explains the benefit of bringing in outside creators to comics for his own titles as well as the benefit of the entire industry.
