Marvel's "Jessica Jones" Will Go "All the Way Dark," Promise Rosenberg & Loeb
Mike Costa and magician Jon Armstrong spent some time with CBR TV to discuss Costa’s new IDW Publishing project, “Smoke and Mirrors,” and share a little magic with the CBR TV audience.
Armstrong talks about how he met Costa at the Hollywood Magic Castle and how it led to the two of them working together on “Smoke and Mirrors,” the unique aspect of their collaborative creative relationship and the high concept of teaching the reader a magic trick as they read the comic’s story. From there, the two have worked together to develop the project, developing new and specific magic tricks and illusions that the reader can learn and interact with as they go through the story.
Armstong also stops Costa and Jonah Weiland cold with the revelation of the depths of his collection of “Detective Comics” before performing an extended card trick to lay out the plot of “Smoke and Mirrors” for the CBR TV cameras.
