Axel-In-Charge: Extending "Secret Wars," Excitement for a "Totally Awesome Hulk"
Actor turned comic book writer Chad Michael Murray spent some time in the CBR TV Tiki Room during New York Comic Con to discuss the inspiration behind his new Archaia-published graphic novel “Everlast,” explaining how the comic book medium is the best platform to tell his story which was inspired by a random visit at his house by a man preaching about the end of the world. The story itself, while holding some religious undertones, focuses on the battle of good versus evil, with Murray involved every step of the way, from its initial incarnation as a screenplay written by Murray to its final incarnation as an anthology graphic novel featuring multiple shorts written by Murray with a variety of artists.
The writer also discussed his online stories, which he has made available for a $1 minimum donation, the proceeds of which go to charity and his desire to do more work in comics.
