CBR TV: “Omaha” Co-Creator Reed Waller Talks Longevity & Returning to Cons

Reed Waller, artist and co-creator of “Omaha the Cat Dancer,” stopped by the CBR Yacht at Comic-Con International 2013 — his first convention visit in two decades — to speak with Jonah Weiland about the character’s origins and surprising longevity. Waller described the character’s beginnings when he was drawing funny animal books and being inspired by underground comix, how the book took on a satirical tone because of the time he spent playing rock music in strip clubs, not having any idea about Omaha’s lasting impact, why he didn’t pick up a pencil for ten years and how the book continued after writer Kate Worley’s death.
